Current Research Projects

My current research concerns various aspects of social theory and method from a microarchaeological perspective. Among my favourite research topics are social theory (post-colonial theory, ideology), burial archaeology and the social aspects of materialities. Below are a few short descriptions of some research projects (in Swedish only). The first project, "Between life and death at Skateholm", is a microarchaeological study of the Late Mesolithic Burial place in the southernmost Sweden, "Laser scanning and analysis of petroglyphs" is the initial phase in my ongoing study of the temporality of Neolithic/Bronze Age rock carvings. The third Project is called "Encounters and Materiality in the Third space: Social hybridity in Scandinavian Middle Neolithic" which title pretty much says it all. The last one, "Children and social aspects of the life cycle in prehistory", concerns issues of life cycle, intersectionality and social categorisation. These are the projects with some kind of funding, all revolving around similar kinds of questions about temporality, sequence of events and "Third space effects"; that is, the various things that happen when a group encounter something other, let be people, practices or materialities.
